Working Principle

Sinter is continuously and evenly fed into the middle of double tooth roll via vibrating screen or belt conveyor. To enhance biting force of the sinter, two tooth rolls rotate at differential speed in opposite direction, and cut and split sinter. Roll speed, gap between two rolls and length of crushing teeth are the main factors to determine output, product size and fines content. To ensure continuous and stable operation of sinter cutter, iron remover shall be installed over charging belt conveyor in order to remove foreign matter of iron-containing.

Drive mode

Drive unit of double tooth-roll sinter cutter consists of a motor, a pair of pulleys, double-shaft gear box and couplings. Fixed roll is connected with gear box through a rolling ball coupling, while loose roll is connected by a universal coupling. The two rolls rotate at constant and differential speed in opposite direction. The gap between the two rolls can be adjusted to suit requirement for product size.
Tooth roll

Fixed and loose roll are composed of multiple columns of tooth rings. Axe-shaped long and short teeth are arranged on rings alternatively. The specially designed teeth, made of high manganese steel or Cr-Mn-Mo alloy steel cast, are solid and impact resistant. The roll assembly is easy for assembly replacement, which helps cut down maintenance job intensity on site.
Moving wheels

Under base frame of sinter cutter, moving wheel unit and rail can be installed to facilitate replacement of roll assembly on site. Moving wheel can be driven by gear motor.
